Zoning Commission
The Cedar County Zoning Commission consists of members appointed by the Board of Supervisors. All members of the Commission are residents of Cedar County. Commission members are appointed to three-year terms.
The Commission recommends actions on subdivision plats, amendments to the land use policies and regulations, and rezoning requests to the Board of Supervisors. All meetings of the Zoning Commission are open to the public. Meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the basement meeting room at the courthouse. Petitions are due the first Monday of the month to the Zoning office. If there are no petitions on file prior to the meeting, the meeting can be canceled. Please call our office to verify a meeting is occuring.
