posted on 12/16/21

Welcome to the new Cedar County government website! We are excited to share it with the public and believe it will be an improvement, helping residents, visitors, and business owners find information about the departments and services they need.

New Features

Demo of search function on Cedar County website.

Now located centrally on the homepage of the website, users will find the new search tool to be intuitive as it narrows down possible department, services, and FAQ matches. See the demo above for an example of searching for "driver's license." To see full search results, click enter after typing in a search term instead of selecting from the dropdown.

News and Announcements

Our public notices section has adapted into a more visual News and Announcements section on the homepage. You can find it right below the search bar. Here you'll find the latest updates from all of our departments who have recently posted news.

The public can now sign up to receive email notifications when meeting agendas and minutes are posted to the website. Notifications are also available for county alerts, bid notices, jobs, and news. You can choose which alerts you'd like to receive when subscribing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our FAQ section has expanded and now includes filters by department. You can access a department's FAQ on our overall county FAQ page or through individual department pages.

Departments and Services

Our new directory page makes it easy to find the service you're looking for, even if you're not sure which department it falls under. Use our search tool to quickly find a department or service. Our department hours page provides a more traditional view of our departments with their contact information and hours listed for your convenience.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our new website! We hope you'll take a moment to browse it and get familiar with its new features. If you have any questions about the site, please contact us.

This was something that hunters may have done when they purchased their license at a license vendor in the past, but in 2021, the DNR required that hunters register themselves through one of the above means.
