Sex Offender Registry
By the Iowa Code, the Cedar County Sheriff's office shall register sex offenders who reside in Cedar County.
Offenders who need to register with Cedar County should call the Sheriff's Office at 563-886-2000 to schedule an appointment with a sex offender registry officer.
If you are aware of an offender who has not registered or is not living at their registered address, please contact our office so we may check that they are compliant with Iowa Code.
Registration Requirements
Offenders must register with the Sheriff's Office upon moving to Cedar County. All information, specified by Iowa Code Chapter 692A at the time of initial registration, must be provided and any changes to that information must be reported within five (5) business days.
