The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) will recognize EMS Week, May 18-24, 2025, to celebrate emergency medical services professionals. EMS Week acknowledges the important contributions of EMS professionals in safeguarding the health, safety and well-being of their communities, and ensures their hard work is fully celebrated and appreciated. This year, the 51st time EMS Week has been observed in our nation, will feature the theme, “We Care. For Everyone.”

At their meeting on Tuesday, May 6, the Cedar County Board of Supervisors also voted to recognize May 18-24, 2025 as EMS Week in Cedar County, recognizing the past and continuing efforts of all of the EMS clinicians in Cedar County's EMS agencies as well as the work being done to setup a new, essential, countywide paramedic service. You can find a copy of the adopted proclamation here.

EMS Director Dinsch distributed this proclamation along with a thank you and countywide system development update to all of Cedar County's EMS agencies.
