Public Health Director
Duties and responsibilities of the Director include: develop and maintain an effective relationship with the Board of Health; lead development of short and long term strategic plans, implement Board policies, ensure compliance with department policies and state and federal code; secure financial support for programs and services through local, state and federal funding sources; ensure the financial well-being of the department through oversight and management of the annual budget; establish and maintain administrative, fiscal, and operational systems; oversee the marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs and services; ensure compliance with all federal, state and local requirements; attract, retain, manage and develop a high quality staff.
Bachelor's degree in a health-related profession required, BSN preferred. Master’s degree in public health or nursing encouraged. Five years of home health and/or public health management required. Strong management skills, including program planning, budgeting, grant administration, and human resource management. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, decision making, problem solving, time management and organization.
