Cedar County is divided into seventeen townships:
Cass, Center, Dayton, Fairfield, Farmington, Fremont, Gower, Inland, Iowa, Linn, Massillon, Pioneer, Red Oak, Rochester, Springdale, Springfield, and Sugar Creek
The CCCB (Cedar County Conservation Board) manages six parks and seven wildlife areas throughout the county.
They include: Bennett Park, Cedar Bluff Access, Cedar Bluff Wildlife Area, Cedar Valley Park, Massillon Park, Norton Nature Area, Pioneer Park, Red Oak Park, River Valley Wetland, Rochester Park, Rock Creek Timber, Townsend Wildlife Area, West Rochester Sand Pit, Hoover Nature Trail.
